Fingerbot (FGB-01) User Guide¶
Fingerbot FGB-01 is an accessory for GL.iNet KVM devices to provide additional convenience for remote power management.
As a physical button emulator, the Fingerbot is designed for remote PC power on/off. It features easy stick-on installation, a year-long battery life for daily use, and requires no complex setup.

Installation¶

Remove the plastic battery isolation tab.

Open the lid from the notch on the top of the Fingerbot.

Find the USB Bluetooth Receiver, insert it into the USB port of GL.iNet KVM (e.g., Comet GL-RM1), then put the lid back on the Fingerbot.

Clean the surface of the power button on the controlled device.

Peel off the protective sticker from the 3M adhesive on the bottom of the Fingerbot.

Stick the Fingerbot to the controlled device, ensuring that its robotic arm can reach the physical power button when pressed. This allows control over the device's power supply.
The Fingerbot can be mounted on desktops or laptops. For laptops, use it only if the power button is located on the side edge.
Setup¶

Log in to GL.iNet KVM device's control panel. How to access the GL.iNet KVM

In the KVM control panel, navigate to Accessories to customize the Fingerbot settings.
Note: Accessory settings are only displayed after installation.

Time: The duration for which the Fingerbot presses.

Strength: Two levels of pressing strength are provided: Light Press mode and Hard Press mode.

Light Press Mode: Perfect for short or soft-touch buttons.

Hard Press Mode: Ideal for deep or firm buttons.
You can also use the Test Button (inside Fingerbot, visible after removing the top cover) to find your preferred pressing level:

Press for the first time: Fingerbot extends to Light Press.

Press for the second time: Fingerbot extends to Hard Press.

Press for the third time: Fingerbot retracts.

FAQ¶
Q1. What protocol does the USB receiver of the GL-Fingerbot use?
A1. It uses Bluetooth protocol.
Q2. Is the Fingerbot body paired with the USB Bluetooth receiver? If my USB Bluetooth receiver gets lost, can I use another one?
A2. The Fingerbot and its USB Bluetooth receiver are uniquely paired. Other receivers cannot be used with the Fingerbot due to binding.
Q3. Is GL-Fingerbot compatible with non-GL.iNet KVM devices?
A3. No. GL-Fingerbot is an optional accessory for GL.iNet KVM devices. It should be used in conjunction with GL.iNet KVM.
