What should I do if I have no Internet after replacing the old router with a GL.iNet router¶
If you cannot access the internet after replacing your old router with a GL.iNet router, your new router may fail to obtain an IP address (via DHCP or PPPoE) when its WAN port is connected to the modem.
Your Internet Service Provider may have MAC binding enabled, which only allows your previous router's MAC address to connect to the network.
Try the following methods to resolve this issue.
- Clone your old router's MAC address to your new GL.iNet router.
- Reboot your modem. If the problem persists, power it off for 30 minutes and then power it on again.
- Contact your Internet Service Provider to reset the modem.
