Works with Home Assistant¶
Requirement¶
- GL.iNet GL-S200
- homeassistant-2024.5.2
- python-matter-server-5.10.0
- The test phone is Android 13
- Search Google Play services and CLEAR ALL DATA
- Uninstall Google Home and Re-install Google Home.
Create Thread network¶
Login to the GL-S200 and open THREAD MESH page, Click Enable
button to start a default Thread Network.
This test uses Scenario 2, so we set the Backbone Router Interface to eth0
.
And open the port 8081
in SYSTEM->Security. Now, we can use GL-S200 as the OpenThread Border Router for Home Assistant.
Add OpenThread Border Router INTEGRATION¶
Search openthread on Home Assistant and add integration.
And enter the management address of the GL-S200.
Open Thread integration and CONFIGURE GL-S200 as Preferred network.
Sync Thread credentials¶
For Android Companion APP, Settings->Companion app->Troubleshooting->Sync Thread credentials.
ADD Matter device¶
For Android Companion APP, ADD INTEGRATION->Add Matter device->Scan Matter QR code.
Wait for a while and the device is successfully connected.
